The Badger 5 garbage disposal is equipped with a 1/2 hp Dura-Drive Induction Motor and durable galvanized steel components, ensuring a reliable grind for everyday food scraps. It includes a Dishwasher Connector Kit for easy installation, featuring an inlet connector, hose clamp, and 3 spring clamps to connect your dishwasher drain to the garbage disposal. This kit is compatible with various InSinkErator models and comes with all the necessary hardware for installation.

For safety reasons, the disposer must be properly grounded to reduce the risk of electric shock in case of a malfunction. If your disposer did not come with a factory installed power cord, it is recommended to use a cord with an equipment-grounding conductor and grounding plug, such as the InSinkErator power cord accessory CRD-00. The plug should be connected to a properly installed and grounded outlet in accordance with local codes and ordinances.
